We were in camp washing our hair when we first heard the blast of the conch shell, followed by temple drums and cymbals. We quickly ran down the dunes to the temple. To our astonishment, by the light of the open temple doors, a single monk simultaneously recited the Buddhist prayers and played all the ritual instruments!
